Privacy Policy

Peritik, LLC ("Peritik," "we," "us") sells natural stone jewelry, hats, bags, and home accessories online at peritik.com and in person at pop-up markets across Northern California. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
It applies to peritik.com, including the Spanish-language version at peritik.com/es/, and to purchases you make from us in person at an event.

What we collect
When you order from peritik.com: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number if you give us one, and the details of what you ordered.
When you buy from us at an event: if you pay by card, our payment processor records the transaction. If you give us your email address for a receipt or to hear about upcoming events, we collect that too.
When you contact us: whatever you choose to put in your message, plus your name and email address.
When you subscribe to our email list: your email address, and your name if you give it.
Automatically, when you visit the site: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from. This comes from our store platform's built-in analytics and from Google Analytics.
We never see or store your full payment card number. Card payments are handled entirely by the payment provider you choose at checkout. We receive a confirmation that payment succeeded, the last four digits, and the card brand — nothing more.
What we do not collect
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Why we use it
To take, process, and ship your order · to send order and shipping confirmations · to answer your questions · to process returns, exchanges, and refunds · to send you marketing email if you asked for it · to understand how the site is used so we can improve it · to keep the records tax and business law require us to keep · to detect and prevent fraud.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the companies that make the business run, and only with what they need:
- Shopify — hosts peritik.com, processes online orders, and provides the store's analytics.
- The payment provider you choose at checkout — processes your payment.
- Square — processes card payments when you buy from us in person at an event.
- USPS — delivers your order. They receive your name and shipping address.
- Google — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google's advertising and shopping tools. Google receives a record of pages you view, searches you run, items you view or add to your cart, and completed purchases, along with your device and browser information and an identifier stored in a cookie. Google does not receive your name, address, or payment details from us.
We also disclose personal information when the law requires it, when we need it to establish or defend a legal claim, or if the business is ever sold or transferred.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share website activity with Google as described above, which supports advertising and product listings, and under some privacy laws that counts as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising." You can stop it — see Your choices below.
Cookies
peritik.com uses three kinds of cookies: ones necessary for the store to work — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, remembering your language; analytics cookies our store platform and Google Analytics use to count visits and understand which pages get used; and Google advertising cookies, which let Google connect a visit here to its advertising and shopping tools.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, the cart and checkout will not work.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.
How long we keep it
Order records: seven years, because tax and business law require it. Email marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe. Support messages: three years. Analytics: as long as our store platform retains it, currently about two years.
Your choices
Marketing email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email contact@peritik.com. Order and shipping confirmations are not marketing and will keep coming while an order is open.
Google Analytics and Google advertising: you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or manage what Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com. Blocking cookies in your browser also stops it. Ask us at contact@peritik.com and we will opt you out at our end.
Everything else: email contact@peritik.com and tell us what you want. You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will reply within 45 days.
California residents
We are a small family business and California's CCPA most likely does not apply to us — we are well under every threshold that triggers it. We honour these requests anyway.
You can ask us to tell you what we collect and why, give you a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or stop sharing your website activity with Google for advertising. You will never be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.
Email contact@peritik.com. We will verify who you are before we act on a request, usually by confirming details of a recent order.
You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for proof that you authorized them.
Where we sell
We ship within the United States only, and we sell in person only in California. We do not direct our store at customers in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
Security
We use a hosted store platform that maintains PCI DSS compliance for payments and encrypts traffic in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date before it takes effect.
